ILR for wife on independent visa

Post by a11 » Sat Jun 09, 2007 11:13 am

Hi everyone,

My wife and I were married by the time of our arrival in the UK and have been living together since then. However, we have always had two independent employment visas.
Now that our time in the UK is approaching 5 years, I am wondering if there's any way we can apply for the ILR on one application (this would be convenient for a number of reasons, mainly the financial one).
I know that officially, we are supposed to apply separately as my wife has never been my dependant (and neither have I been hers). However, could anyone point me to a specific clause in the rules that would regulate this?

Many thanks!

Nope, unfortunately both of you will have to make your own independent application.
