switching employer (annual leave)

Post by Mas2012 » Wed Nov 06, 2013 7:54 pm

Dear all,
I would appreciate it if someone could advise me on my situation described below?

I gave notice to my employer in one month basis and announcing the 13th of May as my last working day. I applied for Tier 2 with a new employer on the basis of starting on 7th of May, as they wanted me to start on the 7th. I gave this as date as I was not sure that my Tier application will be approved in few weeks of application;
I received my new BRP with new employer just in time one or 2 days before the starting date (7th May). I had not taken my paid annual leave with previous employer, so I took the leave from 7th till 13th of May with them and terminated my contract with them on 13th of May. However, I started with new employer on the 7th of May.
I will be applying for 5 years settlement in the couple of weeks time, reading posts here now I am concerned if I had breached the law?

Regards, Mas
