Residency permit from one country, live in another?

Hi,

If I receive a residency permit (not a permanent residency yet) from one EU country, does this allow me to live and possibly work in other EU countries?

or does the latter apply only to EU citizens (holders of an EU passport)?

It will only facilitate to enter another member state except uk/ireland together with EU national partner for 90 days. For staying longer than that to get right of work your EU national partner will need to start exercising its treaty rights there to enable you in applying the confirmation of right to live & work such as residence permit of family member of eu national.
