Hi Kissmemissme,

Please if you can spare your some time and mention questions as many as you can remember.

Your response in this regards would be very helpful to understand type of questions.

Hi Kissmemissme,

You ve been repeating the same mantra like a parrot since the time you did your interview, that the interview is this and the interview is that, but not a word on the kind of questions being asked, which everybody wants to know.

You ve not mentioned anything worth on your last post.

You you say you are busy, so is everybody mate. But if you had a query, you would have logged in 10 times a day to check if it has been answered.

So, stop being so selfish and please write on the kind of questions being asked while you attended the interview and if you don't want to just say so, at least we don't have to tell you again and again to write on your experience.

Regards..

Interview Feedback

Post by NutsForDinner » Wed Nov 06, 2013 2:25 pm

Hi Guys !

Sorry about the delay !

Well, the interview was Ok! Mine was in Sheffield, Milton house. no security screening, just a random security guy in the reception and showed me the way to the office.

Its like a bank, where you got separate windows for each person and a chair to sit.

A female of 50+ age was my interviewer. Fun, easy going, doesn't like the technology a lot.

Questions asked:
* Tell me about myself,
* Where do i work, how do i get to work, by bus or train and how long would it take.
* how many hours do i work and how do i manage the time for self-employment work as im work as full time employment as a IT Developer.
* Describe your Self employment work, what you do, how do you get your clients etc. ( marketing your work)
* Random questions about few business transactions, what the client do, what did i do for them, how do i charged them and i told it was based on the magnitude of the task and how many hours i allocate to that, will be charged on hourly basis.
* Remind you guys they do keep track of each transaction in your bank statement, and you need to explain each and every as you are the person who owns the account. so u need to be aware where does this money goes or came to your account.
* Asked about the Accountant, how do i get to know him, how often i contact him etc.
* Explain a one of the tasks you did for a client. ( A task randomly selected by them from our business account) so, better be ready for all the transactions you did regarding the self-employment.
* How do you spend your money?
* Need to explain each transaction on bank statement. if they ask random few.

My interview last for about 25 min. all are recorded for caseworker, and finally asked me if i have any questions.

So that was my interview experience, and fingers crossed for a better result.

Please guys, just keep updated on how long it took to process the application after the interview.

Once again, sorry about the delay for my feedback.

Thanks for your brief reply nuts for dinner.
It was a brief and comprehensive reply unlike others who are jus creating panic. I want to ask you couple of more things if you can please shed some light on that.
No.1. Did they ask you any questions about your initial application for leave to remain I.e. work done as self employment?
No.2. Any questions about tax ?
Many thanks.

Hi Nuts4dinner,

Great work, thank you very much for taking the time out and writing it in details:

One query from my end:

* Remind you guys they do keep track of each transaction in your bank statement, and you need to explain each and every as you are the person who owns the account. so u need to be aware where does this money goes or came to your account.

Are you talking about the business bank account here?

Are you self employed by your limited company? When I applied for my first extension I selected the option 'Employed' by my limited company.

Regards..

Hi Gull!
Answer1 : No, they didn't ask anything about the initial application.
Answer2: Well, they asked, wheather my self-employment work is registered in HMRC, and when did i start paying the NI2 Contributions, and when do you have to fill out the tax return which is January 2014 for my scenario.

Mind you, they have the possibility to ask any kind of question. Because, at the begining of the interview they give you a leaflet, which mention the nature of the interview.

also, there were 2 other candidates with me, seems like they were interviewed much longer as they were in the interview until i left the building. it all depends on the question the caseworker has highlighted to the interviewer to be asked from the applicant.

So mine was short, and it may be differ for others! what i suggest is prepare for the worst case.

waiting for a response from UKBA. Hope for the best!

Kind regards

My pleasure! :)

yeah! they might ask you about the bank transactions if the business bank account belongs to you.

i'm self-employed as a sole trader, meaning i'm not sharing the business with another person, and not registred as Ltd. Just doing my work on my own and i have a business account that goes all the business work money to it.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Ok .. Leme make it clear.. If u think I m parrot, go on.. I know what I am nd don't need any complement .. If u r on this forum,,,learn to behave and how to write...

And gulll ,, sarcasm is not the solution.. My answer is to prepare u for the worst scenario which u can face.. My interview was too long and with lots of questions.. And I hv received transcript today by post which describes whole conversation.. But anyways NutsForDinner will guide u...

Thnks NutsForDinner for ur respond.. I am going through some personal problems..and I don't wanna respond to some rude people like coolsats (whatever),etc..

Kissmemissme mate, I wasn't and I didn't mean to be sarcastic on you, there are other posts too around here and other forums which is showing worst case scenarios, comparing to that nuts for dinner response was very positive and encouraging. I also appreciate the way you shared your experience as it could be worst for some people so better be ready for that scenario.
If you did mind anything from my side which was totally unintentional, I apologise for that. Hope all goes well for you and you get positive response v soon.

Guys keep in mind every case is different and the questions are related to the specific case.

But one thing is for sure if your interviewer is an old lady with curly hair she will not let you slip easily .

I applied at PEO, I have been called for an interview after biometrics.

Caseworker, enquired about nature of work and some other questions about earnings. My earnings were from self employment.

It was a very not a long interview. After interview, I have been asked to wait in cafe.

After, 30 mins, I got a call and recieved my approval letter and other documents.
