Extension of entry clearance for spouse

Post by coldnap » Wed Nov 20, 2013 6:01 pm

My friend's Moroccan wife has a UK entry clearance which was granted on 26/4/12 and expires on 26/7/14. She will be eligible to apply for ILR next year, but I am afraid that her English will not be up to doing Life in the UK. Is it possible for her to extend her present entry clearance by another year?

She may extend on FLR(M) so far as she still meets an A1 English requirement and adequate maintenance and accommodation and has proof of cohabitation over the last 2 years.

Thanks for that info. I missed the box on the UKBA website which has the forms and guidance for FLR. Do you know how long extensions are granted for? I couldn't find any guidance on this.
