Accounting Jobs for HSMP holder

Can anyone hsmp holder who is in UK ,share his experience for getting accounting jobs in UK.? . I am a commerce graduate having Law degree,presently doing ACCA-UK Professional Scheme Part-II.
At present I am Chief Financial Accounatnt in Central Africa.
within next one or two months,I am going to apply for HSMP.
However I want to get some ideas for accounting jobs in UK from our board members in uk.

hi, i am not in accounting field but i do see a lot of adverts for accounting jobs. The designation you may be working in your present job it could be possible for you not to get the same job here. But to start off you could take up a junior role for the start and then progress. UK companies mostly asks for some UK experience. But if you are lucky who knows you can get a decent job and sal as well. good luck mate.

Thanks a lot for your reply, now a days we are hearing so many adverse news for FLR of existing hsmp holder. What do you suggest ?. should I go ahed or not ?. Just advise please.

what you could do if you are in a job, take some 3-4 months leave and try for jobs here. If you are in your own business and think you can take longer then you may do so.
How do you fare for flr when you do say after 2 years from now, how much do you score for age and qualifications, salary part am not sure.
My friend is coming from india tomoro and he is on leave for 5 months to try for job here, if successful will stay here otherwise go back as his job is quite nice there.

The demand for accounting jobs is quite high in the UK. However your previous experience count a lot. WHere did U work before ??

If you have worked for a company such as PWC, Ernst & Young, Grant Thorthon, Mc Kenzie, KPMG and the like than I believe you could easily get accounting job in the UK. Howvever if your expereince is from local companies then the story could be entirely different as U will compete with local UK graduate.

What I could say is that do the market test . Send your application to UK employment agent and see if you get a good response.
