Joint Account (Current or saving)

Post by aliraza.lca » Thu Nov 28, 2013 10:02 am

due to bad credit check i was not able to open JA...now cooperative bank told me they will open Joint Account SAVING(means u can't set direct debit on it and on statment it wil show that its saving.)
my question is that is it ok according to the entrepreneur visa requirement to have a joint account...does't matter whether its saving or current...or it must b current joint account.

thanx..

it will work for you....current account isnt a must......any account other than ISA can fulfill the ukba requirement.

it must not be an ISA account otherwise any other savings account is fine and must in both of your names

Hi Guys,

Has anyone's visa got rejected because of funds held in ISA account ?

By not accepting ISA account, HO means the money should not be tied/stuck and available immidiately as in cash. What if the ISA is a CASH ISA or Instant Access ISA, is that a problem ?

Of course, its not worth taking the risk and it can be transferred to other accounts but need opinions ?

Thanks in advance.
