British Passport Application - Section 4 Query.....!!!

Dear readers,

I am filling in my first British passport application form. In section 4 of the form it says if both my parents are born abroad then I should enter the details of my grandparents as well. The problem is I don't know the date of birth of my grandparents. Can I just leave it blank or say ' Not known' in Section 8 (More Information)?
