Previous earnings assessment period

Post by MarT88 » Fri Dec 06, 2013 11:27 am

Hello all,

Looking for some help with regard to previous earnings.

I am self-employed and would like to prove the earnings over the 12 months out of 15-month period. The period I want to claim for is December 2012 to November 2013, but one of the payments for work performed in November has been made on the 2nd of this month. Will I be able to include this payment into the assessment period, if the company I have been working with, confirms that the amount was due for the work performed in November? Can UKBA look at earnings based on, say, 27 December 2012 - 2nd December 2013 (11 months, 6 days including the end date) or they only consider the evidence month by month, i.e December 2012 - November 2013, or January 2013 - December 2013?

Thanks in advance for your soonest responses!

Found the answer:

"All the periods we specify are calendar months (for example 14 January –
13 February)."

But got another question, my bank is going to issue my last statement dated 2nd December, will I have to wait for a month before the appointment, or I can schedule an appointment for this month?
