Good luck everyone else waiting!
If we look at the quarterly citizenship application figures for 2013. Till September there were 57-58K applicants in last quarter (3 months) for which all payments were processed within 1 week or max 1.5 weeks. Suddenly everything is changed and longer processing time is blamed on high level of applicants. Even the situation was ok till 9th OCT. If we look at the applications for LTR all are acknowledged within a week however the processing for BC seemed entirely different and it has kept so many people waiting just to get an initial acknowledgement.asadkhan71 wrote:It's regarding 39000 applications submitted in October. Well, say for instance it is real, it would entirely depends on the workforce deployed to process the applications. Say for instance 200 case workers are dealing, and each person has to process 10 applications daily, the equation would be..
1person per week=10x5=50
200persons per week=50x200=10000
200person per 4 week=10000x4=40000
Please search on internet for UKBA chief inspector's report for Nationality department performance for the figures I have used.

This is being updated here.jotter wrote: The percentage value represents the number of people who've informed us they've had their fees deducted as a proportion of the total number of people who've informed us of their applications. The percent includes people who've since also had their case decided.
Note that the date or date range refers to when we believe that the HO received the application, not the date it was sent.
Week ending Oct 5th = 100%

Interesting. So it looks as though one is not 'on the system' until they've done the initial check when they debit the fee and send the acknowledgement. Then one must wait the extra period for the decision. The 6 month deadline on visibility, however, should (must) be worked out from the date of the HO actually receiving the application, not the 'on the system' date.rizwo wrote:Ring them today, they searched my name with DOB and confirmed that I am not even in the system.
Advise: Next year shall be on the system and then they shall take the money from my account.
By the way I applied on 23/10/2012.
Just to confirm it was the UKBA fee that was deducted from my CC on 07/12/13.gphoenixs11 wrote:I noticed my credit card balance dropped on Saturday afternoon by £2720 odd.
