Hi Guys, I wonder if someone could help me please.

I am submitting my naturalisation application on the 20th of Dec through NCS.

I am married to a BC and recently got my ILR. I have been legally in the country for 8 years.

No my question is, as i understand i need to be present in the country on the day 3 years ago when home office receives my application.

In 2010 (Dec 23rd to Jan 13th), i went to Turkey, so if i submit my application on the 20th of dec (friday) then home office will it receive on the 23rd of dec, the day i left the country 3 years ago.

Will this cause any issues, i mean how would the HO can find out if i was in the country on exact that date 3 years ago?

What shall i do? rearrange my NCS appointment or go ahead?

If your application is received on Monday (23), the application will fail as on the start of the residence period (24/12/2010) you were out of the country.

Rearrange your NCS appointment.
Check the FAQ before posting!
Citizenship (adults, children, passport)
EEA (EEA FP, RC, PR, Surinder Singh)

Thank you Jambo, i shall rearrange my appointment.

Just out of curiosity, as there is no exit stamp on my passport, suggesting me leaving the country, how would the home office find out that i was not in the country that day?

First, you need to declare your travels on the form. Second, stamps in your passport are not the only mark of your travel history (unless you hide in a back of a lorry).
