dependent application filled wrong URGENT reply plz

Post by fasaal » Fri Dec 13, 2013 12:30 pm

hiya.

I applied for Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa with my dependent in September this year. We already given Biometric and visa is still under process. I was just checking the scanned copies of dependent application form and found that I made a mistake when filling her form. there was a question on the application form that "HAVE YOU EVER BEEN REFUSED ENTRY CLEARANCE, LEAVE TO ENTER OR REMAIN IN THE UK?" I mistakenly said NO for her but actually she refused 2 times when she applied for entry clearance from Pakistan. I am so worried. My 10 years in this country are completing next month.

do i write a letter to HO that I made this mistake with HO reference NO?
will it called deception?
my purpose is not hiding any information its just a mistake. any one plz help me

thanks.

Faisal

writing them a letter probably would not be a good option coz they cant ament application form. what u can do. if u think u have another one month's leave in yr dependent's visa then withdraw it by writing them a letter and they will send it within 10 working days hopefully and then make another application. if u dont have 1 month then dont withdraw it coz it might be too tight and yr dependent might be overstayer. in that case yes write a letter and fill up just that page off the application form correctly this time and send it with application reference no in special delivery as soon as possible. i hope that will solve the problem. but remember clock is ticking

@ fasaal, send another application form for your dependant ticking YES this time and send a covering letter explaining that she want to VARY her initial application because she made a mistake on her form. You should send it as soon as possible because if they receive the amended form before deciding your application, you can still use it as evidence in appeal even if the application is refused. And don't forget that such mistake are taken seriously by HO as they class it as deception.

Yes, it is seen as deception.

My cousin got a 10years ban for ticking "no" on the form when he should have ticked "yes"

What steps should I take to prevent myself from deception as my application has not been decided yet ?

Case details are as under:
Old PBS dependent form (Version 8-2013) Section of Personal Immigration history, K18
Q: Have you ever been refused entry clearance, leave to enter or leave to remain in the UK?
I answered as NO while she was refused twice when she made her initial application (leave to enter) from Pak. It was a clear mistake because her passport is attached to the application as passport holds 2 refusal stamps.

Prompt reply will be appreciated as am frustrated now
Kind regards

Do as Olasunkanmi as suggested ASAP. don't forget to attach the cover letter and make sure you keep a copy.

there is no harm in sending it to both addresses, make sure you mentuon in your letter you are also sending the same letter to both addresses as you were not sure where this was to be sent,

if you have received any letter re your application, attach a copy of that letter as well. and be sure to include some unique identifiers, such as HO ref number for your current application, copy of your and wife's passport, etc. this is to help HO locate your application pack.
Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.
