10 years long residency broken or not

Post by tkhan2013 » Fri Dec 13, 2013 11:36 pm

10 Year ILR Long residency (4 Years Student +2 Psw + Tier 1 General )(3Years)
Application Post Date:14/12/2013[/b]

My application for IGS had been rejected on 26 June 2008(same day service) stating i had professional Post Graduate Diplome while my visa was still valid till 30 June 2008 so i was not given any right of appeal.Home office sent me the passports and letters which my solictor received on 1st july 2008 by that time my visa was already expired and it took another seven days for my solictor to send the documents. But than i applied for Adminstrative review on 10 June 2008 for my IGS decision and provided them a cetificate that it was not professional diploma. And also applied for student visa on 17 July 2008.i was granted student visa in 13 Aug 2008 for next 14 months. But later on my solictor received a reply from home office and told me that home office had overturned their IGS decision and are now willing to grant me IGS Visa.I sent my passport to home office they cancelled my student visa and granted me the IGS visa instead.Later on i got Tier 1 General etc that is valid till jan 2016.
Now i have completed my 10 years and i am gonna apply for ILR.I want to know whether my continuous residency has been broken or not.
Please senior members reply.
Your co-operation will be highly appreciated.
Thanks[/b]

Your residence was not broken because they overturned their refusal decision. So, basically you can treat the date of refusal of IGS, as date of approval of IGS.

No harm done to you. You will sail through without any problems.
