spouse visa application BHC islamabad process

Post by irfan594 » Mon Jun 25, 2007 1:37 pm

my wife applied for spouse visa on 11 May 2007 its now 6 week. FedEx visa service in Lahore told her after 6 weeks she will get her call from Islamabad about when to attend her finger scan. today she rang BHC Islamabad they told her it will take 11 week (from the date she applied)before she can get her finger scan and then 13 weeks for the result and they put the phone down which was very rude. now is it 11 + 2 weeks to make up the 13 weeks or is it 11 weeks and then 13 weeks ( i hope not). can anyone clarify

my wife applied sametime as your wife on 11th of may and she has nt heard from the BHC yet. i don't think it will take 11+13 weeks for her application and i hope not because we r both in the same situation.i think it should take around 12-14 weeks altogether. i've heard of people getting thier visas within this time scale so i am hoping ours should nt be any different. i hope all goes well. do keep us posted. Good luck. Mus

ASALAM AND HELLO,
my wifes case was put in BHC in Islamabad, on 17th April. she got her finger scans when making her new identity card a month before our application form was given in the BHC, anyways, we're in the 11th week, and still no phone calls. is there anyway of contacting them in pakistan, please do give me any information. or has anyone put in their application after this date and recieved any news so far.

hi,
no really that requirment didnt come into force by then, her sister has just put in her aplication form and had her finger scans done 2 days later. and any ways, if u know of anyone who put there application form in after 17th april islamabad, and theyve recieved any news about it, do let us know, because about the time she put in the application form in, many cases going through islamabad at the time were 6 to 10 weeks. but its our 11th week and still no news!

hi
well i applied 10 weeks ago and i havent heard from the embassy yet. actually it is the fedex who will call you. i think it takes longer if you have applied for a settlement visa as compared to a non settlement type. i called BHC islamabad and the person on the phone was very very rude! she told me it takes longer than 3 months for them to call you for fingerscans. when i asked her about what happened to the 12 weeks deadline isnt my application supposed to be decided by then? she didnt give me a clear answer adn slammed the phone.. very cheeky! i didnt trust her a bit
then i called fed ex and they told me that they are going to call me once its my turn but it all depends on the embassy. the new rules came into affect from march i think and anyone you applied after that is subject to them.
anyone who has any info regarding when do they call you for fingerscans plz share with us!

11th Week they call for the Finger Print scan which is correct,
I was called in my 11th Week

However What I do not know is what does this mean
Does it mean that we are now going to start looking at your application after your finger print scan or is the finger print the last thing they do??

Very very anxiuos the guy on the counter told me that you will hear from Fedex and thats it. I asked him when he said you will find out when they call you.

Do not expect to find out if you got the visa or not during finger print scan as the people on the counter are not suppose to give you any information so they very strickly simply follow the guidlines

well its 12th Week,

It says on the website
At the BHC/BDHC, you will be required to provide your fingerscans. This should take no longer than five minutes. Once your fingerscans have been taken, you may be asked to remain for a brief interview or asked to leave. Your application will then be processed and the decision notified to you via Gerryʼs FedEx.

Does anyone know if this also applies to Settlement visa's

Which means that after the 11th Week they will start processing the case which is unbelievable. I am not sure what happens before this 11th Week. I am not sure if this also applies to Settlement Application because for other they normally call in 1-2 weeks for the interview and then inform you with the decision.

hi,
i hope all is going well with you guys. has anyone heard from the bhc yet? my wife's application is on its 8th week and still no news.
i am starting to get rather worried as my tenancy agreement is expiring end of July and am moving in another accomodation.
should i let the bhc know on this change before they contact my wife for interview or should i wait till they ask?? any thaught or suggestion will help. in the meantime, i hope you all get your visas and join your loved ones sooner.

Cloudysky

When you go for the FP scan usually the guy will only finger print you and then let you know if you should wait for the interview or not.

Could you please find out from them the following as it will help all of us

1. When you call for the Finger print scan, does it mean that you have already made a decision( or started processing) or is this the begining of the process??

Thanks

Jamal

well jamal according to the high commission website:
At the BHC/BDHC, you will be required to provide your fingerscans. This should take no longer than five minutes. Once your fingerscans have been taken, you may be asked to remain for a brief interview or asked to leave. Your application will then be processed and the decision notified to you via Gerry’s FedEx
that makes it clear doesnt it ?.
but i will ask them as well just to make it clear
Regards
cloudysky
