Inviting parents as family visitor

Post by a2zwd » Thu Jan 02, 2014 4:05 pm

Hi mates,

I am living in UK for last 6.5 years. Intially came as Work Permit. I got British Citizenship couple of months ago. I have surrendered my Indian passports as I got British nationality.

I am planning to invite my parents to visit UK for 2 months. I have couple of questions.

1. I am currently staying in rented house. I am moving to our own house in Mar'2014. My parents will apply visa in Feb'2014. What address prrof/accommodation proof I need to submit?
2. Do I need to send my ILR copy(Biometric card) even I am sending them the copy of my British passport?
3. Any letter required from my employer?
4. Recently(4 months ago) moved from my old company. What payslips/letters I need to submit?

Please reply.

Thanks

1) Depends what information you have available from your property from March onwards. If you have the rental agreement and the landlord is willing to give a letter saying he's happy for them to visit - then great. If not - submit the information in relation to your current property.

Otherwise wait until you HAVE the documents relating to your march property to apply.

2) No

3) No

4) You should submit about 6 months worth of payslips and bank statements if you are intending to financially sponsor them.

Do pay slips and bank statements have to be original or can they be copies (or certified copies)?

Thank you!
