Few Questions about filing for ILR

Hello everyone,

I've been on Tier 2 visa since 1st Oct 2009. Been working for the same employer since then and will continue to be with them atleast until the time of possible ILR application date i.e 12th September 2014.

Here are few things:
For the first 4 years, my days spent outside UK are less than 50. However since October 2013, I have been making business trips to France every week as a part of work assignment. I leave on Monday and come back on Thursday. So effectively I spend 2 days outside UK (discounting travel days) every week. So in the last year I will be outside of UK for a total of 100 days, which is still below 180 days threshold.

I've few questions:
1. Will my application be scrutinzed as I have been travelling to and fro between UK and France every week since Oct 2013? Will this afffect any chances of getting ILR approved?

2. I am inclined to think my application is straightforward and as such intend to apply myself with premium service option. OR Should I seek solicitor's help?

3. How soon should I start preparing documents and when is the right time to submit my ILR application via internet for Premium appointment?
