Help needed

Post by Helping » Wed Jan 15, 2014 12:06 am

I'm applying through PSW route and am very confused. Do I definitely need a contract to apply for this visa? I've been told buy my solicitor and UKBA that I don't but the form says I do? I've set up a IT consultancy but have yet to gain a contract.
Any advice would be great as it's all so confusing!
TIA

Anyone? I'm worried that I'm paying my solicitor a lot of money and my application won't be strong without a contract? Everything I've read suggests I need one but both him and UKBA have said it's not compulsory?

technically u dont. u have a choice to show either business account confirmation letter from bank to show business is running or contract from clients or both. but its true despite of showing business account people have been asked to show contract as well and so far almost nobody applied without having a contract. so my advice yes u will need contract.

Thank you for your help. I'm confused as to why UKBA say no contract necessary but then reject those that don't submit them. I guess it gives them a reason to reject!?!
I did read that they seem to be clamping down on applicants using the visa to do contract work. Has anyone successfully applied as a consultancy type business without a contract and been successful? Just looking for some hope before I hand over my money to the solicitors...
