Confusion about ILR and Dependents

Post by yhdil » Wed Jan 15, 2014 7:52 pm

Hy Guys,
This forum has always been helpful for me. I wonder if anyone could comment on the following situation:

My younger brother is due to apply for ILR in Aug, 2014 (10 Years basis), he is currently on Tier 1 Entrepreneur valid till Aug 2015.

His wife received visa in Aug, 2012 and joined him in Oct 2012 as of Dependent of Tier 1 Entrepreneur valid till Aug 2015. Also a baby is due to be born in April, 2014 to the family.

Question is:

1. When his ILR is approved, should he apply for his wife (FLR(M)) or should he wait until his wife's dependent visa expires?

2. If he applies for FLR(M) for his wife, how much minimum earnings he should be earning considering that the baby would be born by that time.

3. When his wife can claim ILR status; does the time spent on Dependent visa contribute towards her ILR stay?

4. When can he claim for any status for his baby, particularly citizenship?

Any timely and comprehensive replies shall be much appreciated.
Thanks guys
