Travel on ILR after Oath

Post by mkaleem » Sun Jan 19, 2014 5:13 pm

Hi,

I have taken my oath last month but didn't get time to fill the passport form. Now I need to travel to my home county urgently and I don't have enough time to wait 3-4 weeks for my British passport.

Can I travel on my ILR BRP card? Someone told me that once you have taken Oath the ILR becomes null and void and I can't enter in UK

Please confirm if someone can clear this situation to me.. A quick response is highly appreciable.

Thanks

Yes you can travel with your foreign passport, BRP and BC certificate and you will have no problems re-entering the UK. My daughter has done this twice last year. Make sure you complete the landing card when you return.
