How late can you apply for extension of General Tier Visa?

Post by Goofy2013 » Mon Jan 20, 2014 5:34 pm

Hi I am new to this forum and would like some information.

I am on a General Tier 1 visa valid from 19-Jan 2009 , However came to the country on 4 April 2014. I applied for extension and got it with the Biometric card saying it is valid till 22nd Feb 2014.

Now I want to know .
1. How late can I apply for extension for Visa renewal , can I apply on 20th Feb 2014, ( 2 days before expiry of Biometric card visa date by post, and send it through cheque so can hopefully buy some time to apply for Indefinite in near end of March or should I apply for Indefinite directly as the difference is just a few days in between?

Can somebody help me please.

Kindest regards and many thanks in advance

I am assuming that you initially entered the UK on 4 April 2009. As that's less than 90 days from the effective date of your visa, you may apply for ILR now, before your leave expires.
