Permanent Residence to Naturalisation

Post by EEEU » Sat Jan 25, 2014 12:34 am

Hi every one.

I am about to apply for Naturalisation, I have few questions to ask anyone with relevant information please Help.

My wife is EEA and British National now; I recently( September 2013) received my Permanent residence card so I did not complete 1 year on PR yet and I am applying for Naturalisation. I am not fully sure if this is feasible practically???

I would also like to know that if I have to submit documents for 5 years or 3 years?

I am self employed since April 2013 and my tax return is due in April 2014 so if I ask my accountant for a letter that I am registered with HM Revenue, instead of full tax return would that be ok ?

I was unemployed from November 2011 to April 2013 but didn’t claim any benefits and no jobseeker allowance. My EEA wife was full time employed all those years. Is it a Problem or can they refuse my Application because I was unemployed?

Me and my Wife Receive our first Child Tex credit and working tax credit last month if we continue would this effect my Application for Naturalisation?

Thanks for Taking the time and Reading.

If you are now married to a British citizen, then you may apply now.

See the form for documents required. Suggest using the NCS.

Working is not a requirement. Receiving Tax credits to which you are entitled shouldn't be a problem.
