Confusion about long Residency

Dear Guru...
My detail is as under

1st Student visa on ..... ....30th August 2004
Entery in Uk ...................29th September 2004......... after several extensions on student visa and PSW now
Current visa is ending .........31st July 2014

I want to apply for Long Residency so what should i do..... should I apply another extension or I should apply for ILR.

The start date of the qualifying period for Long residence is the initial date of entry. The 3-month entry concession is not applicable.
