Urgent help regarding declined payment application

Post by pak2013 » Sat Feb 08, 2014 8:00 pm

Hi dear members
I really need your expert view on my application returned because of declined payment. I request card issuer to issue me a letter regarding declined payment and reason. I got letter now I'm confused that shall I send it to UKBA and request to consider my application from first date which will help me to avoid to be overstayed or not....letter is as follows

"Dear Mr.....
Re...................
I refer to your conversation with my colleague in our fraud department on the ..........
At the outset please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience and frustration caused to you by our processes. we always try to ensure there is minimal disruption to our customers while we carry out our checks and hope you can appreciate the necessity for the measures taken, however I understand how frustrating it can be.

Your Halifax credit card was declined for a security check on the .......for 2627.00 to Home Office. This was due to the high value amount and to ensure card details had been not compromised by a 3rd party.
Please be assured the decision to decline was a fraud prevention measure and had no reflection on the running of your account.
I trust this confirms this matter and this letter will suffice as confirmation to the Home Office.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further assistance."

I applied for Tier 1 with two dependent.
what you guys think if I send this letter & request caseworker to consider my application from initial date would work?
expert advice will be appreciated.
thanks

well bro i have to tell u one thing that u should have done some research on this issue before trying to pay by card. lot of people have faced this problem and learnt. even yr application form says that a payment can be refused due to fraud checking by the card issuer which is not the problem of UKBA. so the answer is no u cant ask ukba to accept yr application from the day u first made the application. so definitely u r gonna be overstayer if yr visa is expired. but nothing to worry. send another application with cheque/bankers cheque or postal order and write in a covering letter to the case worker what happened plus there is option in the application form as well of mentioning it if its a overstaying application. probably u will loose yr appeal right if u r refused. but dont think about this now. if u r refused then u can go for judicial review and gain appeal right. but pls make sure yr application is perfect and pay by those methods i have suggested u and also suggest same to others. hope it helps

Sorry about your situation but I don't think that will make any difference at the moment, you are basically trying MEDICINE AFTER DEATH. It is clearly printed on the application form. The HO will tell you that it is your responsibility to ensure everything is in order!

"Please note that when making large or multiple pay-ments using your credit card, the anti fraud measures that banks operate sometimes stop the full payment being taken. This is because either the maximum limit on a single transac-tion, or the number of transactions allowed in a given period of time, has been exceeded. To prevent this you must ensure that you inform your bank of your intention to make large[/u][/b] or multiple payments in advance so that your bank allows the full payment to be taken when you submit your application"

Hopefully you wont be refused but if you're, you can re-apply then attach the letter and include a cover note explaining what happen the first time. Remember that caseworkers are humans like me and you..I'll pray for you and hopefully you wont be refused. :)

Whoever made this Immigration forum is a God Angel. I want to salute those people,
Till now i always pay HO through card. I had 5 extensions and never ever decline payments but these days HO people r bit funny and other reason is fees r very high so lesson learnt is never pay them through debit and credit card.
My advise is don't pay through cheque as well coz HO can say that cheque is bounced.
Always use banker's draft and postal order. To avoid this disturbance.
