so no need of NARIC or letter from Uni? do i need to take the original Certi. to NCS or a copy ?
have you been throu this process yourself?
You do not need a letter from NARIC or the university if the degree was obtained in the UK.
The requirement is:
Certificate showing that you have obtained an academic qualification deemed by UK
NARIC to meet the recognised standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in
the United Kingdom and (i) an English Language Assessment (ELA) from UK NARIC
confirming that the qualification was taught or researched in English or (ii) the
qualification was taught or researched in the UK or a majority English speaking
country (other than Canada);
The bold and underlined bits are important to your situation.
NARIC is just an agency that will verify that a foreign degree is the recognized standard in the UK. If you obtained a degree in the UK from a UK university then it will meet that recognized standard. Ergo, you do not need NARIC to verify that your UK degree meets UK standards or is taught in English/Gaelic/Welsh.
In addition, your qualification will meet point (ii) as the degree was taught/researched in the UK.
As TTOE said, to meet the language requirement, you will need to bring your original degree certificate issued by the UK university to your appointment with NCS. They will photocopy it and hand it back to you so you will retain it.
