That is a good idea too but let me share with you what I have been advices to do. I am planing to wait until the hearing.. And see what happens and then I will ask my mp to chase them up if it's in out favour.. Because recently a lot of people have recieved rfcs so I'm thinking they r getting somewhere .. Once the decision is made they HAVE to grant or refuse us and then you'll have ur case back either way.. If that makes sense.. This is what I plan to do and inshAllah pray that whatever is best for us happens x

But the thing is with me is that they.think that my income is 5117, so theres.no way that it's going to be lowered that mich, otherwise i would have waited.

My MP is chasing them.up, im waiting for them to call me back really, and im going to go frm there

Welcome to the forum and your right there the people on this forum are helpful.

About your situation i think you should wait till 4 - 4 and half months past before contacting them. I heard back from them after 15 weeks. However some people on this forum heard back after 7 months. Its all about kismat at the end of the day.

Insha Allah you'll hear soon.

My MP got back to me today, only to be told, that they are doing checks, it's left me so confused!

She advised me to email them myself. So.i emailed them asking why my documents were not accepted.

Thats even more confusing. Email them yourself and see what they say, i wont be surprised if they reply with a template email tho ! I bet they didnt even check whats going on and just gave that answer to MP just to get them of their backs.

Don't worry brother about your status not changing as there are several people who's status hasn't changed. My husband applied in December and his status is still forwarded to isl OC

My hubby had to ring to make an appointment. I think that's the best way. It didn't give us the option to book it online. However if it says your session timed out it seems like your application hasn't been submitted. You may need to check if it's all done

For all those wishing to apply or reapply - you may want to consider waiting until end of March. The UKBA are launching a priority Visa service for settlement where applications are processed within 10 days. Of course, this come at a extra fee of £300 and for super priority (I guess within 5 days?) a fee of £600.

I read that but they define settlement in two ways. There's the type of visa that our spouses are getting. And then there's the settlement that they apply for after 5 years of being in the UK. I thought that news article was referring to the latter.. Maybe I'm wrong...

Many Many Congratulations saf132!!!!

You are VERY VERY VERY lucky. You have got your visa granted within two months. Majority of us probably haven't even had a cases opened in two months LOL. Again best of luck for the future. Really happy for you :)

Trying to figure out how you got your visa granted within two months and I've been waiting nearly 4 months and haven't heard anything.
