Hi all,
Im hoping someone can help me with some answers.I have been married to my husband who is a British citizen for 6 1/2 years now and lived in the UK for 13 years. We now decided its time to apply for British citizenship.I have been working on and off.( Due to having children - 6 year gap).Im currently a house wife.I have spoken to the nationality checking service and they say I need an indefinate leave to remain card or have to be exercising treaty rights (Im an EU member) in order to apply for citizenship. Now in my opinion I have been excercising treaty rights because I dont claim any benefits (except child tax) and my husband is in full time employment.I have been trying to get through to the Home Office but no joy.Can someone tell me what i need in order to be neutralized as a British citizen?
Many thanks.
