Ancestry Questions when applying for ILR

Post by flynny00 » Sun Feb 23, 2014 6:33 pm

I am applying for ILR in the category of UK Ancestry.

I have a couple questions that I cannot seem to find answers for on this forum or on the UKBA website. If anyone can offer advice, that would be great.

1. My Australian Passport and biometric residence permit are both in my maiden name. All of my documents (bank statements, proof of address, pay slips etc) however, are in my married name. Will this be a problem? I was married in NZ so have only a NZ marriage certificate. My husband holds dual nationality NZ & UK.

2. Do I need to put my husbands income in section 5.6 even though he is not applying? Or do I just need to put in my income?

3. For section 6.2 where you outline any absences in the past 5 years, can I just put 'see attached' or do I need to fill the space first and then add more where necessary on a separate page?

4. For section 6.3 do I need to provide evidence if the travel was all for leisure? Will my current and previous passport suffice?

5. For section 8b, should I tell the UKBA that my husband is a UK citizen and provide his passport and our marriage certificate?

6. What documents do I need to have to show that I have able to work or intend to seek employment? I am in full time employment already so are payslips ok or do I need a letter from my employer?

Thanks for any help or advice.
