Yeah I got that 'human rights, complex case, bla bla' letter as well. Submitted application May, did biometrics same May.
British child, British partner. Child has always lived with me in my home country, but partner lives here and we did the back and forth for many years.
Child has health issues and things got to a head late last year when it was obvious we would need to depend on the services here which our child had been getting during our numerous visits. And we had to get the little one settled in school here this year. So I didn't have time to attempt the partner visa especially as there was no evidence of being together for two years since we've been in a long distance relationship for six years.
If I had tried it, it would have likely failed and would have taken a long time whilst our child's education would have been delayed. And I couldn't do the parent visa because all my immigration records and other records, show that I have always lived with my partner every time I've been in this country, even from before we got into a love relationship. It would have been a hell of a lot hard to prove that I was a single mum so I didn't even bother. I came in with my visitor's visa.
But I packed in all that I could in the application. Whatsapp conversations for over four years, lots of pictures, child''s school evidence, partner's work evidence, child's medical records and future appointments, bla bla. Even my solicitor felt that it was complicated. I agreed with her, and I'm not sure it is even reasonable for me to expect a response from HO before the year 2022 with the tardiness they generally display.
Hang in there, lady. Fingers crossed for you, me, and everyone else. Hope you find something to occupy your mind and make you feel better.
