I am wondering if anyone can recommend an agency in London who can submit a Canadian immigration application on the applicant's behalf ? I am referring to someone like G L O B A L V I S A S ??

Are you looking to immigrate to Canada as a Permanent Resident (PR) or on a Temporary Worker Permit (TWP)?.

Either way, if you have the time a patience, do it yourself. There's plenty of info on the web.

I've never had any experience with the company you mentioned, as my employer retained an immigration Attorney here in Canada. They paid $10k ($5k Attorney's fees + $5k for gathering supporting documents) for my work permit, and will pay almost $12k ($8k Attorney's fees + $4k for supporting documents) for my PR.

Hi There.. thanks for your reply. I am looking to apply for Permanent Residency. I wanted to apply thru an agency simply because as per the info on www.cic.gc.ca/english/ , I dont currently qualify. I'll probably need a job offer from an employer. I thought if I go thru an agency, they can keep my application and apply on my behalf when an opportunity arises.

What passport do you hold, and what's your profession/trade?

If it helps, keep these suggestions in mind:

1.- Be very aware there a number of phony "agents". But also, there are Employment Agencies with already approved Labour Market Opinion (LMO) which will get you into Canada quicker.
2.- As it stands, it's becoming easier to come to Canada on a TWP and then apply for PR; however, I admit people want to secure their legal stay here (in the UK is called Indefinite leave to remain) instead of depending on any employer.
3.- If you have the means to come over; knock on doors and introduce yourself, your chances on finding a sponsor will be much higher.

I currently hold an Indian Passport and live in London. I am a project manager working for a software firm in central London. My ILR is due soon and I want to move to Canada after I become a British citizen. I am indeed aware of phoney agents, that the reason I turned to this forum hoping someone can recommend an employment agency in London. These employment agencies that you are referring to with an LMO, that s interesting. Can you recommend one ? There are lots of qualified immigration advisors on the home office website, but I am looking for a recommendation. Any inputs will be much appreciated. Thanks for your help.
