English requirement - Academic vs Professional

Post by waqar » Tue Dec 12, 2006 10:52 pm

I am a Chartered Accountant which I think is a professional degree equivalent to UK's graduation as certified by NARIC. As long as I gather from the guidelines, they are saying that only those people who have their graduation from abroad can use a letter from their university to satisfy WP about their english comptence.

Could you please check point 3&4 on page 32 and point 4 at page21 of the guidelines and tell me what do you guys think about it.

I am not sure while talking about graduation they mean UK's equivalent qualification or the original qualification from abroad. Furthermore, I am here in the UK for the last 2 years on work permit can they consider any letter from my employer about my language skills.

Any response will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

For the purpose of language requirement, I think the professional (vocational) qualifications are not accepted, although such qualifications are accepted for points under Education. Please read the guidance notes.
