How long must sponsor have job ?

To sponsor a spouse to come over to UK the uk sponsor must have a stable permanent job...
if he has only been in the job for 3 months, but just out of the job probation period, is that enough ? or does it have to be at least 6 months on the date of the application?

please note I was in Canada last year. came to Uk in April 2012 and worked from JULY 2012 to Nov 2012 and i am unemployed now as well....but will get a job soon..so i have earned about £10 000 in 6 months...so far this year.

i intend to get married in summer, say April 2013 and submit our spousal in May 2013..
so i will have p 60 in April 2013 but what if it will show less than the £ 18 600?

but if at the time of application my salary plus savings are over the threshold ie over £18 600 will that be OK ?

after submitting the application how long would mumbai or Delhi take ?
