Happy new year to all
I did not receive a P60 from my previous employer, I contacted them shortly after May31 which I knew was the deadline for them to send me one. They replied by sending me a photocopy of a typed up document headed "statement of earnings". Now when I asked why I had not recieved an official P60 document I was told they sent me one in the mail and if I did not receive it then it must have been lost in the post (they did send my P45 to the wrong address also by leaving off a digit from the house number, but I was able to recover it).
My question is, is this photocopy of a typed up statement of earnings legally accepatable in place of a P60? I may not need it for my extension application as that is not quite due yet, but I anticipate that at ILR stage I will need to show all my tax documents.
