English Language Test Results Delay

Hi folks

i've just passed the TOEFL iBT but when i asked the responsible @ the center he told me that the results (The Certificate) would take 6 weeks to be delivered. whereas the results can be sent via email within 3 weeks time.

My intention was to apply for the spouse visa in 4 weeks bt now i am a bit confused!! should i wait untill i get the certificate or could i just apply with the email version they gonna send me and mention in a covering letter that the original certificate will come shortly?

i think i have seen few members here applied with the online score version of the TOEFL iBT and explained that the certificate never arrived!!

did this work out or would it lead to an automatic refusal?

Please any feedback is welcomed thank you
