money transfer questions

hello all,

i am trying to bring some money to start business, but oversees bank not allowing us to transfer more than 7k.

please advise me what would be the best possible ways to bring money here in uk account.

secondly one of our client wants to give money here in UK (cash).

bit confused, please let us know legal part in this regard.
