EU4FAM

Post by zaza7625 » Wed Aug 14, 2013 7:55 am

Hi.
I just want to know what is the first step of getting whatever stamp.
I mean, as a family member of EU citizen, could I apply for stamp 4 or eu4fam or whatever for the first time?
Please advise me if any aware of this.

Thanks

If you are in Ireland, your first step is to submit for EU1.

You will find more information here: http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/EU ... y%20Rights

As far as I know holding eu1 doesn't allow me to work. I other posts I have been told that as a member of eu citizen I could apply for eu4fam,thereby I am bit confused.

Thanks

You have to apply for an Eu4fam via Eu1 form. Once you have submitted the application, after a couple of weeks (in most cases) they will send you a letter and tell you to go to garda to get a stamp 4.
You will get a temporary stamp 4 for 6 months while they are deciding your application. You can work on a stamp 4.

The form is called EU1 but it's the EU1 visa...you will get Stamp 4 EUFAM, which gives you thr right to work.
