As this scheme was recently released there is no link to confirm it.

How did you check if it is not public fund then?

Some bank or other reference, you can confirm it on.

I read on a blog site for a mortgage broker that specialised in securing mortgages for Tier 1 holders that this program is NOT available to immigrants.

Only logical when you think about it - this is a Tory vote buying policy, if they allowed it to get used by the public enemies that are the Tier 1 holders there would be scandalous articles about it in the Daily Fail.

Hi

One of my friend used this scheme to buy a new build property. However he has ILR. Previously it was available only for British Citizens.

Some Links: Read Pg 5 .

http://www.homesandcommunities.co.uk/si ... t_2013.pdf

Note: The Gov.UK states for Newbuy you need to be a UK citizen/ILR

Following links suggests it might be open to all:

https://www.gov.uk/affordable-home-owne ... uity-loans

https://www.gov.uk/affordable-home-owne ... guarantees

All the links suggest me that its not a public fund, because eventually you will end up paying back the Government. Furthermore there is not much of information available whether its public fund or not.
I try to give honest answers, however I might be wrong, kindly always check with your solicitor/accountant for final confirmation

Help top Buy is an Equity Loan. Interest Free (Security) for 5 Years to the Lender. After 5 years it earns interest for the Government if not paid in Full. and hence its a commercial scheme and not a Benefit Claim or a Public Fund.
