Mistake in Naturalization Certificate

Post by forumbond » Thu Oct 10, 2013 10:28 pm

I have just received the invitation letter to oath ceremony. Oath is on 1st week of November.
However the letter from Home office, has wrong "Place of Birth" .
It says "Pakistan" instead of "India" :-( .

The Oath ceremony invitation letter clearly says that you have to attend the Oath ceremony and receive the Naturalization Certificate with the Error, then I have to send it back to Home office to get it corrected.

Does anybody know how long it takes to get the correct naturalization certificate back?

Also did they have to send their original passport as proof to get the
mistake corrected?
