Help - HSMP Dependant Entry Clearance

Post by mexsix » Fri Apr 20, 2007 5:23 pm

Hi,

My HSMP application has been approved and I now need to get an entry clearance. I would like my girlfriend to be a dependant however I am not sure what the difference between 'travelling on my passport' and 'travelling on their own passport' is on the VAF1 form. Can someone please clear this up for me.

Also how strict is the decision making process for dependants? I have more than enough money to support both of us and we have been living together for the last 3 years, however we maintain seperate accounts and bills (sent to the same address). If this is not sufficient then I would rather apply for a working holiday maker for my girlfriend.

Thanks in advance. I tried the search but didn't find the answers I was looking for.

Q:Also how strict is the decision making process for dependants?
A:Nothing is strict about decision taking on dependant application rather the quality of document you submit determines what decision is taken on your application. Furthermore when making application for your partner,gf or dependant(s) it is important to submit document that establishes ''tie'' (been together) and evidence of sufficient finance i.e your statement of account.

Your comment;I have more than enough money to support both of us and we have been living together for the last 3 years, however we maintain seperate accounts and bills (sent to the same address).
My comment; Get your bills(YOURS and UR GF) for the past six month include it in your EC application, since you have sufficient funds you may not need to include the statement of account for gf.

Your comment; If this is not sufficient then I would rather apply for a working holiday maker for my girlfriend.
My comment; The choice is yours but please visit this link for WHM;http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/servlet/Front ... 8721068240
