Query on ILR application

Hi, my cousin is on tier 1 and is completing 5 yrs in UK in march 2014. He and his wife will be applying for ilr. They have two kids born in UK. He is plgg to apply doe ilr for himself and his wife. When they applied for extension the rules were to show a balance of £ 800 for each family members needed. Does this apply while they r applying for ILR. As the set o for does not ask about any particular amount in bank. Please advice.
