Spelling issue in name

Post by Somudro » Wed Jan 08, 2014 10:59 am

Hi,

I want to invite my parents to visit us in UK. While checking my passport and parents' passports, I noticed that there is a mismatch in father's name and my passport. In his passport, name is like MD. Razul Karim and in my passport this is written as Muhammad Rajul Karim.

Issuea are:
1) Z and J
2) MD (short form) and Muhammad.

Would these be prolem to get visitor visa?

Thanks batleykhan

Do you know if I need to submit an affidavit saying both names refer to the same person?

No need to go that extent. A simple explanation of the error should be enough
