ILR Long Residency but points on License and fine paid.

Hello all,

One of my friends is completing his 10 years next week and wants to apply for ILR on long residency basis but he has got a problem with the driving license. He has got 6 points and he paid £300 fine as well in the court 2 and a half years ago. His points will be cleared off in June this year.

The question is: Will these points and fine make effects on his application form?

He needs to declare the conviction, but as 24 months have lapsed since the date of conviction this should not be a general grounds for refusal and he should be fine.
