UK Citizenship with German father

Hello I have a question that I cannot find an answer to.
My daughter was born in UK in 2002. Her father is German and we would like to check if she is or is not an UK citizen. At the time of her birth the father was here in UK, however we do not have his old German passport that is required for my daughters passport application (to prove fathers right to ILR as EU citizen). We still have the following passport. WE were not married then, but he is registered on the birth certificate. What kind of documents would be required in this case?

Did you subsequently marry? What is your immigration status? Was the Father exercising treaty rights before the child was born e.g. Working, self-employed etc? If so, for how long?

Since the child was born in the "window" between October 2, 2000 and April 29, when EEA/Swiss nationals (other than Irish citizens) were not deemed automatically settled, then the fact of having a German father does not in itself give a claim to British citizenship. Unless he had obtained ILR by application to the Home Office.

Is the child still living in the United Kingdom? If so, registration as a British citizen under section 1(4) of the British Nationality Act, for those who have lived in the U.K. until age 10.

If the mother, or father, has become a Permanent Resident under either domestic immigration rules, or EEA immigration rules, then registration as a British citizen under section 1(3) of the Act may be possible (it would be section 3(1) if mother and father were not married).

What is the child's nationality. There may be a separate claim to German citizenship.
