Getting a certified copy of your passport

How can I get a copy of my passport certified for a Spousal visa application? Can I do it at a post office or do I need to use a notary/solicitor?

Is this the sponsor or applicant? If sponsor, it doesn't need to be certified.

I'm the sponsor. So I can just send a photocopy to her?

If this is an in country extension application, but by your answer I gather it's not.

Out of Country should be a certified copy e.g. The post office certified document service, or notary public or commissioner for oaths.
