Confused about ILR Eligbility

Post by zahmed05 » Fri Mar 21, 2014 2:27 pm

Hello Seniors,

I am very confused after reading new immigration rules. can you please guide me.

I was granted Tier 1 General on 22nd March 2010, I applied for extension on 28th Feb 2013 and got it on 12th March 2013. I will be 10 days short on my 5 year continuous residence period.

According to new rules you should have a valid leave on day you complete your five years which is 22nd March 2015. Will I be Eligible for ILR in Feb 2015 or I have to go for another extension to cover these 10 days?

Regards,
Zeeshan

You are eligible to apply for ILR 28 days before the your current visa expire. You don't need another extension.
