Hi,
Is accommodation arrangement mandatory for EC? if I write some thing like.

"Last year I visited UK for couple of weeks. As per knowledge gained during visit, for first week we will use Bed and Breakfast hotels and in mean time I believe using http://www.gumtree.com/ we will be able to find a reasonable accommodation (one room with Spam and toilet) in ~600 pounds per month. I have a Credit card which can be used for online booking for B&B booking before departure."

If I don't have a friend in UK then hotel booking will work? how much it costs for couple of weeks?
