I'm applying for my Irish passport after receiving naturalisation. On the passport application form notes it says...
"Photo ID: the original or certified copy (by the garda who witnessed your application form) of One or more of the following documents eg, driving license, college ID card, social club membership, passport from another country.
I went to the garda station yesterday and the garda wouldn't certify my colour copy of my driving license as he said they don't certify documents anymore, so i thought 'ok, i'll send in my other passport'
However,
On the notes that come with the naturalisation certificate it says " Photo ID: a copy of your driving license (this copy must be certified by a Garda) or your original college ID card, original sicial club membership card AND your original passport.
So the official notes say one or more, so just my passport would be ok, but the notes with the naturalisation certificate say drivers license AND passport.
What have other people done? Have you had your photo ID certified by the gardai? Will i be ok just sending in my passport? Unfortunatly i'm under a bit of pressure due to an unexpected work trip at the end of the month so i need to get it right first time.
Thanks
