Priority Tier 5 (Government Authorised Exchange) visa

Post by philip.cherian » Fri Jul 04, 2014 5:28 pm

Hello,

I'm an Indian student currently studying in Paris (I have a residence permit for a duration of three years). As part of my course, I am required to do a 2 month internship, and I've found one in London. Since I am being paid, I require a Government Authorised Exchange Tier 5 visa. However, due to certain errors by the company, I had to wait till the end in order to receive my sponsorship letter, and so I need to get my visa as fast as possible. (I now have a Sponsorship letter from an A-rated sponsor)

I wanted to apply for the Priority Service, but I am not sure whether this is allowed with my visa, and I am afraid I will lose the money in the event that this is not the case.

According to this page on the site: http://www.ge2ru.tpcontact.co.uk/node/39
Applicants applying through the PBS Tier 5 route. qualify for Priority Visa service.

however, according to another, http://www.ge2fr.tpcontact.co.uk/services#priority-visa
Tier 2 (Skilled workers) and Tier 5 (Temporary Worker - Creative and Sporting) applicants sponsored by a company/institution listed on the UK Border Agency's approved Premium Sponsor list

Since they are both on the Teleperformance site, I am unsure as to which of these is true. Sadly, I made my visa appointment as soon as possible and this is Monday. I tried to call the Teleperformance phone number all day today, but I didn't work until at 17.57, when they informed me that they were done for the day and so could not answer my questions.

I really would appreciate any insight into this problem, I do not want to pay for a service I am not allowed to use, but I really would like my visa as soon as possible.

Thank you,
Philip.

Hi Philip,

I wonder whether it worked for you - were you able to apply for priority service with Tier 5 Gov Auth Exchange in France?
I've got about the same problem now...
