HSMP VISA - TIMELINE

Post by FasuloLE » Tue Jul 17, 2007 1:25 am

Hi I sent my HSMP application in June and it was delivered by UPS on June 25. However, I have not received confirmation of receipt (as requested on the application) from the Home Office. Is that odd? It seems like a lot of time has elapsed...

I never received any notice that the HSMP team had received my application either. On the phone I verbally verified my correct e-mail address 4 times with various helpline folks. It was entered correctly at the time that my application was received. I never got the e-mail regarding my ref. no. that I requested within my application.

I had problems with printed communications from the HSMP office as well. My application was returned to me twice, once in the midst of the fee hike (I used the GBP 315 form, by the time the package arrived the fee was GBP 400); once because my bank declined the debit card transaction (despite my requests that the funds be deducted). The first time I got my materials back, my address included a V where a B should have been written. The second time the house number was 2066 when it should have been 2065. Thank goodness I live in a small neighborhood and my postal carrier knows my name and location!! My documents got to me safely, but things could have gone badly wrong.

Honestly you should phone the HSMP office tomorrow and ask the status of your application.
