Spouse visa after acquiring British Citizenship

Post by UKcitz » Fri Oct 03, 2014 11:53 am

Hi

My wife is on Spouse visa (Settlement) which she got from india and I was on ILR at that time.
Now I have acquired British Citizenship and passport.

Do I need to get my wife's visa changed? (she is in the UK currently)

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards

No you don't. Once your wife has ILR and has spent at least 3 years in the UK she will be able to apply for British Citizenship, assuming she meets the standard requirements.
