TRV or Open Work Permit

Hi,

I am a Burmese National, working in UAE for more than three years.
I've got married in last June in my home country, Burma.
My husband is US Green Card Holder presently working in Canada with Work Permit.
I would like to visit him for about 2 weeks.
But what I am worried about is the Counselor may reject my TRV application as I do NOT have strong tie of home and family here in UAE and also my salary is not too much, and some advise me that it would be better to apply Open Work Permit in stead of TRV.
Could you kindly advise me to which type of visa should I try?
